Today I want to talk with you about Natural birth. I have had two all natural births and wouldn’t want it any other way. And If I have another I will have another all natural birth 🙂
Birth is a amazing thing. No matter if you did it natural or not.
I 100% Believe that you can have a natural birth if you set your mind to it. Mind over matter.
Why do you want a natural birth?
I knew the side efforts of having meds and/or a epidural and I wanted nothing to do with that. Now that being said, I’m not bashing ANYBODY that has had a medicated birth!
Hire a Doula!
Doulas are AMAZING. Even if you have a support person (Mom , Husband, Friend ETC) A Doula is there to provide emotional and physical support during labor and birth. And also during your pregnancy. They are VERY valuable.
Prepare yourself for your birth. Read birth books. Watch positive birth videos. Talk with other moms who have also had a all natural birth. Because trust me they want to tell you about their birth!
Have a birth plan!
Yes!! You need to have your birth plan wrote down. For whatever you want during your time of birthing. Such as paci or no paci. Breastfeeding or formula. Skin to Skin or not. Delayed cord clamping or not ETC.
Even though you feel like you don’t need this trust me do it! Because when your in the middle of pushing out a baby you don’t really care what’s going on. And having everything you want already wrote down will help you so much 🙂
Moving around can help so much during labor. DO NOT be forced to sit in the hospital bed and not move. A ball can work wonders, Also a warm shower can help!
Talk to your provider.
Don’t want till your in labor for this..
Talk to your provider, birth team ETC about how you want your birth to go. They are there to help you birth the way YOU want to. NOT what they want you do to.
Probably one of the hardest things to do is relax during labor. But it’s the best thing you can do for yourself just let the contractions happen. One at a time! Relax, breath and enjoy it.
Well, That’s all I have for now! Remember you’ve got this! Your body was made for this. And it will all be worth it in the end. 🙂
