I’ve been sharing a lot about being more eco friendly lately and all of our reusable stuff. And you guys wanted to know more!! So here is a few things for you guys 🙂
The first thing when most people are wanting to be more eco friendly and switch to re usable stuff they think they HAVE to ditch and switch EVERYTHING at once. NO!! If you try and do it that way you will be overwhelmed and it’ll cost more that one.
Slowly switch stuff out. Whenever you run out of something switch the item with a reusable or eco friendly item.
(1) Cloth diapers.
If you have a little one this is a big one!
They say in the first year your little one will use between 2,500 – 3,000 diapers a year!! Holy cow!! You will spend anywhere from $600-$1000 dollars per year depending on the brand of diapers you get that’s a lot of money you are throwing out and a lot of trash! I haven’t spent over $175 on my cloth diapers and I used them on my son and now my daughter some are 5 plus years old because I got them used. So $175 on diapers in till your little one is potty trained or $600-$1000 dollars every year till your little one is potty trained??

(2) Reusable wipes.
If you already cloth diaper why not use cloth wipe as well!
They say you will use around 70 wipes a week to a week in a half which ends up being around 3,800 wipes a year… Wow!! You will spend around $840 dollars on wipes a year.. I have spend $40 dollars on my reusable wipes. And again they’ve been used on both my kids!

(4) Reusable Makeup Wipes.
I’ve been using my reusable makeup wipes for around a year now and I love them!! Ditch your store bought makeup wipes!! They are full of chemicals and will fill up the land fill. You can use just a washcloth, or you can buy some super cute reusable makeup wipes or make some for yourself 🙂
(5) Water bottles & Coffee cups
Instead of always buying water bottles from the store that you will just throw in the trash when your done.
Buy yourself a reusable water bottle. And fill it up at home 🙂 Reusable coffee cup always take your cup with you whenever you go out and get coffee 🙂
(6) Zip lock bags
I don’t own zip lock bags. They are a signal use item and fill up the trash. We use Stasher bags I LOVE my stasher bags. They last forever and you can use them for ANYTHING!! If you don’t own any you need to go get some!
(7) Grocery bags
I always have my reusable grocery bags and produce bags with me! The trick to making sure you always have them is to put them back in your car as soon as you are done unloading your groceries. You don’t want to know how many plastic bags get thrown out in ONE DAY!!
(8) Reusable pads.
Okay, yes go ahead “Eww I can’t believe shes talking about this” Hah but for real.. Have you ever looked at the back of your feminine products at what’s in them?? Most are full of very dangerous chemicals.. And yet you are putting that in to your body.. No thank you!! A lot of people love the Diva cup or reusable pads.
(9) Wool dryer balls.
Throw away your dryer sheets!! They are FULL of chemicals.. Like really go read the back of them! Go buy yourself some wool dryer balls! They are the best and will save you so much money, I’ve been using the same ones for 3 years now. And they don’t have a smell so you can make them smell how ever you want!!
That’s all I have for now! 🙂 I hope this was helpful to you! If you have any questions please leave a comment!
